Learning Futures Review moved a WeChat-based education technology publication from short news updates toward a more unified, professional research-and-insight format. The rebrand improved both the publication's visual system and editorial workflow, including a more deliberate topic selection process and a streamlined editorial meeting rhythm.
The editorial strategy was designed to speak across the full ladder of education practitioners: policy-adjacent readers, university administrators, school leaders, frontline teachers, and industry operators. My own pieces focused more on senior decision-makers and high-level industry questions, while the broader writing and editing team developed pieces with wider educator appeal. This balance helped improve open rates and strengthened the publication's ability to travel across different education audiences.
Representative pieces include "Why China's Ministry of Education Proposed the Future Learning Center," "Silicon Valley Is Losing Patience with Education," and "A Comparative View of EdTech Industry Development in China and the United States." Key articles circulated among university leadership teams and policy-adjacent readers, earning republication by industry outlets including Cyzone, Jiemodui, and Duojing. Typical pieces reached tens of thousands of views, with standout articles exceeding 500,000 views.
